How do I submit a SOLIDWORKS Enhancement Request?

This process will outline the steps to submit a SOLIDWORKS Enhancement Idea to 3DEXPERIENCE

Before we get started – You’ll need the following:

  • 3DEXPERIENCE login
  • 3DSwymer Role

1.   Search the Community

Before submitting an Enhancement Idea, make sure it has not already been submitted to the Community by searching for keywords or Tags. After logging into 3DEXPERIENCE, follow this link to access the SOLIDWORKS Enhancement Ideas Community then click on the Tag icon at the top of the screen next to the search bar.

A window will pop up on the left-hand side of your screen. Click on the blue lightbulb icon labeled Idea.

You can also expand the other 6WTags (Who, What, Where, etc.) for more tags to narrow your search.

2.   Submitting an Enhancement Idea

If you do not found another idea similar yours, you can follow the follow this link to fill out the submission form.

After selecting a Product area, two more boxes will appear requesting the Version and Core SOLIDWORKS feature involved. These will need to be filled out to complete the form.

Once you have submitted your Enhancement Request, you will be redirected to a new page that can be used to track the status of your idea on its road to implementation.
