How do I Unarchive a SOLIDWORKS Electrical Environment?
When setting up a new machine, or restoring an archived environment, you will need to unarchive the environment. This will walk you thorough that process.
How to Unarchive Electrical Environment
Unarchiving opens and extracts data from an archive file. This data is compared with existing data. This process is very similar to the process of creating the SOLIDWORKS Electrical Environment, so it should look familiar.
- Select Unarchive environment to open the unarchiving tool,. This wizard is similar to the update data wizard.
- Archive files have the .TEWZIP extension, and should have a SWE Icon. Select the desired archive file, and click Open.
-
On the Selection tab, select the data to import. The unpacking wizard compares the data to be unarchived to the existing data. You can then choose an action for each data type.
-
After proceeding through and confirming your selections, you will see a progress bar and then a report will be generated. It will show the number of items of each type that were Processed, Added, Updated, Not processed, or Failed.
