Downloading and Installing Older Versions of eDrawings
On the website, you will only see the latest version of eDrawings. This guide walks you through how to find and install previous versions.
Go to the SOLIDWORKS Download page. Select Access Downloads under "SOLIDWORKS Downloads".
It will ask you to log in, if you do not have an account, create one. Download the desired SOLIDWORKS installation media. In this case, we selected 2025. If you need a version older than the ones provided in this drop down, please submit a case.
Run the setup that it downloads. You can extract the files to the default location or change it to wherever you wish.
Select "Install on this computer". Press Next.
Leave the SOLIDWORKS and all serial number fields blank (unless another product is to be installed on this PC). You will be prompted with a warning. You can press OK to this.
The next page will allow you to install the free products for that version. You can select eDrawings here.
Press Next and then Download and Install. This will install that version of eDrawings.
When booting eDrawings, it will sometimes ask to provide a license key. This only applies to eDrwaings Professional. If you are looking to install just the standard version, you can skip this box. The way around the box depends on the version, sometimes you need to close the box, or just press "Next" leaving all options blank.
